These terms apply when you buy a Founding Guest stay at Emberline Retreat. Please read them before you pay.

1.Who we are

Emberline Retreat is a trading name of OHL Holdings (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2025/150104/07, a South African company. Our physical address is 107 Three Fountain Road, Cape Farms, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. You can write to us at info@emberline-retreat.com.

In these terms, "we" and "us" mean OHL Holdings (Pty) Ltd, and "you" means the person who buys a stay.

2.What you are buying

A Founding Guest stay is a voucher, bought before Emberline opens, for two, three or five nights for two guests in one pool suite, with breakfast included. Each stay also comes with:

• the Founding Guest box: a numbered certificate, a giraffe print and a letter sealed in wax
• a welcome drink on arrival
• the airport transfer from Cape Town International
• a name on the founders' wall
• lifetime Founding Guest status, with 15% off later stays at Emberline

3.Prices and payment

We charge in South African rand. Any amount shown in US dollars is a guide only, and your bank converts the rand amount at its own rate.

Payments are processed by Paystack. We never see your card number.

4.When you can stay

Emberline is scheduled to open in September 2027. Your stay is valid for three years from the date Emberline opens.

You choose your dates later, once booking opens. Dates are subject to availability.

5.Refunds

A Founding Guest stay is not refundable.

There is one exception. If Emberline has not welcomed its first guests by 30 June 2028, you can have a full refund. Write to info@emberline-retreat.com to ask for it.

6.Giving a stay as a gift

Your stay is transferable, so you can give it to anyone. The name on the certificate and on the founders' wall can be the name of the person who receives it.

7.Promo codes

A promo code adds the extra nights stated with that code at no cost. For example, the code DUBAI2026 adds one extra night and is valid until 23:59 Dubai time on 30 November 2026.

• A code works only while it is valid.
• A code cannot be exchanged for cash.
• You can use one code per booking.

8.The Founding Guest box

We send the box by courier to the delivery address you give at checkout.

For delivery before Christmas, please order by 8 December for addresses outside South Africa, or by 15 December for addresses in South Africa. If you order after those dates and up to 24 December, we email you a digital certificate so you have something to give on the day, and the box follows.

9.Pictures and plans

The images on this website are artist's impressions of the estate as it will be. The suites, food and facilities we describe are as planned for opening.

10.Your rights under South African law

Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. Where these terms and either Act disagree, the Act applies.

11.Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
